African-American adults in Wisconsin are too fat.
I can say this because I fall into this expanding category as well.
Nearly half of all African-American adults in Wisconsin are obese, the highest proportion for this population of any state, according to a report by the Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
I'm 6-feet tall and 227 pounds. Heavy for me, but I've been heavier. Three years ago, I tipped the scales at 247 pounds.
Since I'm a bigger-framed guy, most people may not consider me fat, but the scale doesn't lie.
I don't weigh myself a lot. Instead, I rely on the "how hard is it to fasten my pants" philosophy.
