State gets high marks for public health emergency readiness

Health officials say South Carolina is one of the states most prepared for an outbreak of the H1N1 virus and other public health emergencies, according to a report released by Trust for America's Health.

South Carolina met eight out of 10 of the key indicators of public health emergency preparedness, according to the report released this month.
