Individuals can make most impact on health

The Trust for America's Health annual "F as in Fat" report once again ranks Tennessee as one of the five states in the country with the highest rates of obesity.

Tennessee is not the only state facing an epidemic of obesity. The Trust for America's Health report indicates that adult obesity rates did not decrease in a single state in the past year, and increased in 23 states. Health Department data show the increase in Tennessee's obesity rate unfortunately has kept pace with the increase nationally.
