Report: State mostly ready for emergency

An annual report has found that Indiana meets nine of 10 goals for preparing the state for an influenza pandemic or other health emergency.
The Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation found that Indiana had adequate plans to distribute emergency vaccines, antidotes and other medical supplies from the Strategic National Stockpile and that its public-health laboratory can meet the expectations of the state's pandemic flu plan. The state also measured up in seven other areas.
