U.S. Overhauls Bioterror Plan

The federal government has revamped its strategies for defending against bioterrorism... "The good news here is that public health emergency preparedness absolutely needs to be higher on the radar screen — it has been an enormous gap and we consider it the weakest link in homeland security," said Shelley Hearne, executive director of the nonprofit group Trust for America's Health. "I pray this is not just a fancy new paint job on this broken car we are driving. We really need an engine overhaul."
